Why is so difficult setting up Firefox on an android phone

I can't seem to download the Mozilla app on my Android phone I lost it where would I find it on my phone if it's still on my phone
I lost the Mozilla app on my phone
I want to use https://www.firefox.com/en-US/ as the browser in this Android instead of Google Chrome.
Is Firefox comparable with Amazon Fire tablets?

I can't get into Google Play to access the app, unless I want to do facial recognition or other stuff. I can't see Fennec on the Mozilla website. I just want to start using it as soon as possible. Currently on Brave and now I understand Chrome controls that.

I can't find latest Firefox apk for my android. It only shows play store link. I tried signing up for Gmail account but that requires phone number verification these days. Never in my life was creating a Gmail account so much hard. It doesn't even give option to get code on some other number. The only option it shows is to insert a sim and google will verify itself which is kinda annoying. Please share the latest official Firefox apk link. It's impossible for me to create Gmail account as there is no Sim in my phone.
The second, or so, step on Android is unclear. I can only select add... Or not now. But if I select add to home screen this dialogue does not move on. A bad UX.
