Find that some (not all?) embedded videos generate the error code and do not play. Here's an example:

blog.lolwall.co/content/dolphin-comes-nowhere-asks-diver-help/2014/01/10

However, this plays in Slimboat and Chrome.

Do you get the same error on the YouTube site?

I see that you have the YouTube HTML5 Player extension.

Is this with using the Adobe Flash Player or the YouTube HTML5 media player?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Plays fine on You Tube... Plays in safe mode... so, looked at likely add-on culprits... I disabled the "HTTPS-Everywhere 3.4.5" add-on... problem solved... Thanks!!
