Firefox is stuck in full screen (I did not understand what that meant when I selected it.) Firefox automatically goes to Yahoo. I never even selected yahoo as my home page, but that is all I can go to except through a search. I cannot enter a website; there is no Firefox window for that.

I have tried: Shutting down (duh), uninstalling and re-installing Firefox. Uninstalling everything with the name Yahoo (Yahoo messenger, toolbar, update.)

I uninstalled the yahoo toolbar, and everything that had Yahoo in its name. Still could not get rid of Yahoo until I took the drastic measures described above.

Have you tried pressing F11 to deactivate full screen mode?

You should then be able to access the menus/settings as normal.

I did not know about F11 getting me out of full screen mode. Where does one learn this stuff? It probably would have fixed the worst problem. I finally solved the problem by again uninstalling Firefox, this time selecting the option to discard all customization, bookmarks etc. When I downloaded it after that, it worked.

I still do not know how Yahoo got itself to be my home page on both Firefox and IE. I have only gone to IE in order to download Firefox, so I certainly did not select it there, nor did I select it as my homepage on Firefox.

Thank you very much for your help.

You may have inadvertently installed the Yahoo Toolbar somehow. Go to your Control-panel add/remove programs and if it is in the list choose to remove it.
