When Firefox updated, I lost all my BOOKMARKS besides my toolbar. Can't express how unhappy bar

When Firefox updated, I lost the toolbar including the link for bookmarks. When I "searched" for Bookmarks it said I had none.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

If I wanted to hire a computer consultant to follow all those possible instructions, Maybe that would do it.

I'm just switching to Safari. Terrific nuisance to loose all my bookmarks.
