How to stop 'recently cclosed tabs' from showing in history after selecting 'never remember history' ?

I selected 'never remember history' in Firefox Options but in FF4 find under Firefox on the top left is included History which when highlighted offers 'recently closed tabs' and 'recently closed windows ' as a full history record since booting the pc - how do I turn that off ?

You need to close and restart Firefox after you have selected "Never remember history" to get that working by starting Firefox in Private Browsing mode.

That doesn't do it - Never Remember History has been selected since starting to use FF years ago- now in FF4 History always shows Recently Closed Tabs and Recently Closed Windows
