Hi jimirelanduk,

Unfortunately, I don't have a subscription at Skysports to test this. But let me escalate this to our team and see what we can do. Thank you for sharing this issue with us.

Thanks for coming back to me, I would add that this problem is NOT isolated to skysports, but ANY streaming platform that I use,

The problem appears to be the picture in picture toggle itself, as clicking it, immediately causes firefox to crash. I also have the "allow picture in picture" box ticked in my settings

Hi jimirelanduk

I'm fine with all streaming sites. Win 11 Fx 150.02 and Rasp Pi5 with Fx 150.0.1

That sounds very wrong. Do you have the crash ID that I can share with my team for further investigation.

hi Kiki, The crash notification does not appear to have an ID.

More seriously yesterday when I clicked on "settings" this also caused firefox to crash, however this problem seems to have resolved itself this morning.

Is there anyway that you can check if my firefox account has been hacked, I might try uninstalling and download firefox again.

Thanks

Jim

On a video note, do you use the extension [ h264ify ] which Chrome and Firefox can use to force Youtube and other videos to a compatible H.264 format.

Please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A list of Submitted (and Unsubmitted, if any) Crash Reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Submitted Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

ESET Security is crashing Firefox here. As a test, try to disable "Safe Banking & Browsing" and "Browser Privacy & Security" in ESET, then restart a computer.

I will give that a go, but I need to get hold of the person that set it up for me, so I will report back later. The only thing I would ay is that "picture in picture" was fine until a couple of months ago, but it may be that an update may have caused the problem. Thanks again, Jim
