Hi

You need to make sure Firefox isn't blocking the site you're using.

Goto Menu > Settings > Privacy & Security > Scroll down to the Permissions

Find Location and click

Ensure the box Block new requests asking to access your location is unchecked if you want sites to ask you for permission.

If a specific site is listed as "Block," change it to Allow.

and also check your Windows global privacy setting that can block all apps from accessing your location.

I encounter this too. I searched dredge strategy.

And Firefox need my location permission in system setting in order to give me this search??!!!

I will grant no such permission, and as a result I will use another browser to search for dredge strategy.

If Firefox continues to ask such request I will uninstall firefox and use another browser.

Firefox is a browser and does not need location permission to function. This is requested by the website you visited.

When you search for something, search engines (like Google or Bing) often try to provide "Near Me" results. If the search engine thinks "Dredge Strategy" might be a local business or a physical service, it requests your location from the browser.

Firefox isn't the one asking: It’s the website asking Firefox for that data. Firefox then asks you because it’s designed to be a "privacy-first" middleman.
