Can no longer open Google Links/Suggestions when searching for products etc on my Acer Aspire Laptop.
Up until 2 weeks ago (so middle of June 2023) I had no issues with Firefox. However, since then I cannot open any 'GoogleAds' suggestions/links when searching products etc on my Acer Aspire Laptop (2023)?
I have Windows 11, Google is my nominated browser and my antivirus program is the same as when it was working OK.etc?
Non GoodleAds links, seem to work fine
As I don't know the exact date accessing the links/suggestions stopped working, I have no idea as to whether any Windows update has caused the issue with Firefox?
I can find my way round a computer, but I am not computer technically minded.
Any help would be appreciated as I am disabled and bedridden, so the internet is my key to the world.

Could we work with an example? For example, this is a standard Google search that turns up a bunch of "Sponsored" results for a portable power station (I use this one, by the way):
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=ecoflow+river+2
Is the problem with the results in that Sponsored section?
Or is the problem on other sites that embed Google ads?

Hello,
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties with opening Google links and suggestions in Firefox on your Acer Aspire Laptop. I'll do my best to assist you with this issue.
Based on the information you provided, it seems that the problem started occurring around the middle of June 2023. Since then, you haven't been able to open any GoogleAds links, but other non-GoogleAds links work fine.
To troubleshoot this issue, let's try a few steps:
Clear your browsing data: Go to the Firefox menu (three horizontal lines) and select "Options" or "Preferences." In the Privacy & Security section, scroll down to the Cookies and Site Data section and click on "Clear Data." Make sure to select the checkboxes for "Cookies and Site Data" and "Cached Web Content" and then click on "Clear."
Disable extensions: Sometimes, browser extensions can interfere with certain website functionalities. Try disabling any extensions you have installed in Firefox. You can do this by going to the Firefox menu, selecting "Add-ons," and then disabling the extensions one by one. After disabling each extension, test if the issue is resolved.
Reset Firefox settings: If the issue persists, you can try resetting Firefox to its default settings. To do this, go to the Firefox menu, select "Help," and choose "Troubleshooting Information." In the Troubleshooting Information page, click on the "Refresh Firefox" button. This will reset Firefox to its default state while keeping your bookmarks and essential data.
Check for Firefox updates: It's also a good idea to ensure that you have the latest version of Firefox installed. Go to the Firefox menu, select "Options" or "Preferences," and click on "General." Scroll down to the Firefox Updates section and click on the "Check for Updates" button. If an update is available, follow the prompts to install it.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, please provide more details about any error messages or unusual behavior you encounter when trying to open Google links. Additionally, if you've made any changes to your system or installed any new software around the time the issue started, please let us know.
As a Firefox support volunteer, I will do my best to assist you further once you reply with the requested information. Thank you for reaching out, and I hope we can resolve this issue for you soon.
Best regards, Firefox Support Volunteer
Hi, do you mean product/shopping search results? Those are ads, so if you use any kind of ad blocking add-on, it might be interfering.
Thank you for your responses. I have refreshed Firefox a few times, even installed it again, both with my anti-virus and browser protection installed and uninstalled (briefly).
To the best of my knowledge nothing is different than it was previously.

For reasons unexplainable, the links you sent me, open. They were the types of links which I could not open for the last couple of weeks.
Sounds good so far. If you run into again, you could share a link.
