Password manager new feature request: Primary timeout required
I would really appreciate if the Firefox Password Manager would time-out and ask me again the primary password every x minutes (lets say 10 minutes, better if configurable). I use Firefox in my home PC, I have two kids (11 and 13 years old) and they frequently use my Linux/Firefox session for their school necessities and leisure time. The problem is that often they end using my session and they have access to all my usn/pwd inside de Password Manger (Internet router configuration, Parental Control configuration, ecc.) My kids have their own Linux profiles and Chrome profiles for school but they usually get to use my own PC/web-browser sessions for practical reasons inside my family.
Thank you very much for your support. Hernan M. Vago

I have never used it but you could look at this. Settings > Privacy & Security > Certificates : Security Devices > Software Security Device : Log Out.

Windows 10 allows for Admin/Owner and Limited user accounts why aren't not doing this setup so they are password lockout of your Window account access. This isn't the fault of Firefox this is the user own created fault here.
Thank you for your reply but I'm using Linux, not Windows. You are right to state that I should use separate sessions for my kids but, the reality is that inside the familiar day to day living usage of the same computer is not so linear, the time of each family member is constantly been shared and so the usage of the time over the computer.

Thank you, this is useful. I think that a timeout in a password manager would be useful for my case and for general security reasons; for example, keepassxc (password manager) has this builtin feature enabled by default.
Hi Hernan, as far as I know, there is no preference that allows setting a timeout for the Primary Password and currently it is difficult to "cancel" it so it is required again (if you go to the Passwords page and click a View button then cancel the dialog, Firefox will revert to requiring the Primary Password to be entered again).
