I can't figure out how to get an exception in for my self signed certificate on my smtp email server. When I logged in for IMAP I got the exception dialog but when I try to send an email I get a dialog that says:

Sending of the message failed. The certificate is not trusted because it is self-signed. The configuration related to xyz.com must be corrected

I had no problem with this on TB 68.

I think it's this bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1665577

The fix is scheduled for the next beta, but may be included in the next 78.x release.

I saw that. It renders 78 useless to me. I need to be able to send mail as well as receive it.

I tried 82beta but it doesn't work either.

I went back to 68 and it still works. I haven't tested it but one might be able to upgrade to 78 from 68 and keep the server certificates. Although maybe when it installs the new profile the certificates are lost. Too much work to check. 78 doesn't have any features that I need so I'm keeping 68 for now.

This bug has to effect everybody that needs to create an exception for an smtp server certificate. That can't be an insignificant number of users.
