Frontier Communications<silverstreak@frontiernet.net> Just got this message that says I have to update my Yahoo mail to 7.1 There is a link there but I haven't clicked on it. Is this a legitimate message of a scam type. It doesn't give a time limit or date, but make it sound urgent. Haven't had any problems with mail up to now.

Frontier is my ISP - "Frontier Homepage Powered by Yahoo." It may be OK, but will all the spam/phish floating around, you never know. I did take a chance and clicked on the link. They wanted name, password, and other stuff. Last question was did I want to upgrade. I didn't give any infor except to say no to the upgrade question. So far all seems good. Thanks. Lynn

Hello,

You should contact Yahoo about this. We are the FireFox support.

No matter what I try to contact Yahoo, it either takes me to Frontier home page or my yahoo mail. I tried the help button, but that's only for correcting news stories. Since the message seems to come from Frontier, I thought they could help.

Is Frontier your ISP ? If that is the case then contact them by phone or email.

How do you access your email normally? I would expect that if you access your email online that you would see a message about this.

We may have a problem. I was just going thru my spam folder to clean it out and noticed a total of 6 messages about the upgrade. Problem is they all have different addresses on them, but the message is identical. The message:
