Bookmarks?
So, where are bookmarks? And how can I bookmark a page instead of having to remember the url. Ones with UIDs or other long identifiers are next to impossible to remember and usually take going to several pages to get there.

There are only basic options that do similar things as bookmarks. One option is to use the add to home screen button in the 3 dot menu. The other is to tap on the address bar after you have loaded an address you want to keep and choose "Add link to autocomplete".
If you want a more robust bookmarking solution then you would need to use Firefox for Android.
