Why are bookmarks put on my phone's desktop?
I don't want a new avatar on my desktop for every time I bookmark a website. Can't the browser keep bookmarks like ALL the other browsers on Earth? You can erase a history without eraseing bookmarks. Can't you?

Sorry about the mixup.
Focus does not have bookmarks. It only has the add to homescreen option. You can use Firefox for Android if you want bookmarking features.

You are creating home screen shortcuts. Not bookmarks.
Bookmarks are done via the star in the 3 bar menu in the upper right. You can view your bookmarks by opening a new tab and tapping on the word bookmarks on the about:home screen.

I am using Firefox focus. I have no toolbars or no 3 bar menu and I cannot open a new tab.
