How do I fix "about:blank" home not working since the 55.0.2 update to Firefox??
I have 'Home' set for about:blank. Ever since the 55.0.2 update, clicking 'Home' changes the tab to 'New Tab', but the page doesn't go blank. It just stays with whatever I was last looking at no matter how often I click the 'Home' icon. It worked fine before 55.0.2.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Turns out the problem is the "AdBlocker Ultimate" extension. No idea why, but for some reason when the 55.0.2 FF update installed ABU started treating 'about:blank' like it was some kind of ad and not clearing the page when 'Home' was clicked. The 55.0.3 update has the same problem. I disabled ABU and "Home = about:blank" works fine. So is the problem with whatever got changed in the update, or does something in 'AdBlocker Ultimate' need to be changed to match whatever was tweaked in the FF update?
Good work. Contact AdBlocker Ultimate support and let them know.
