My laptop says I have the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. For certain sites I regularly visit via links in emails received, Firefox is blocking automatic redirect. I have to manually check Allow, and there doesn't seem to be an option to remember that instruction.

Firefox's accessibility feature designed to help users of screen reading software avoid losing context with unexpected navigation has no site-specific permission setting. If you find it more annoying than useful, please turn it off.

You can do that here:

  • Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
  • Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
  • Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences

In the left column, click Advanced. Then on the right side, with the "General" mini-tab active, make sure the following is not selected (box is not checked): "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page"

Please note that a lot of redirects go to ads.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/redirect-control/ Redirect Control This add-on enables the user to allow or deny redirects from web pages. You can also create rules to allow redirects that you approve of.
