I have uninstalled - reinstalled, I have checked plugins - and when I run the plugincheck via mozilla it says it needs up dated.  ?? I have windows 7. I have specifically downloaded the version for firefox flashplaer 16 and windows / browser is still not recognizing it. This has been an issue I have been trying to correct now for 3 days and is sucking up my time as a designer working from my home. I'm very disappointed in the creation and issue of this product. Please help.

Sincerely,

Tracy

Follow the Path - C:\Program Files (x86)\Lightsperk 0.5.3-git\ and delete the nplightsparkplugin.dll by right-click and Delete.

It looks like you have two Flash Plugins installed for Firefox.

Flash Shockwave Flash 16.0 r0

I'm curious what that first one labeled simply as "Flash" has for a description in the add-ons manager. Does it say anything about Lightspark?

When I search through the plugins this is what I have:

Silverlight Plug-In 5.1.31211.0

Shockwave Flash 1.0.0.1

Shockwave Flash 16.0.0.235

I don't know what that Shockwave Flash 1.0.0.1 is, but I suspect that is LightSpark. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lightspark

The first version of Flash, which was released back in 1997, was Macromedia Flash Player 2, so whatever that is - it isn't a legitimate Adobe / Macromedia Flash plugin.

Let's find out where on your PC that Flash 1.0.0.1 plugin is sitting. Type about:plugins in the Location Bar and hit Enter. Locate that Flash 1.0.0.1 plugin in the listing and take a screenshot of the browser window with that plugin line showing; and post it here.

We're interested in the Path for that Plugin. Like this: Path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32.dll which is for a legitimate version of Flash.

Go to that LightSpark folder and delete the nplightsparkplugin.dll file. Then start Firefox and see if your problem is fixed.

How do I delete it and also how do I get it not to show up on my Firefox as a plugin. My plugin seems to be attached to the plugin for shockwave flash 16.0.0.235. Whenever I make the nplightsparkplugin inactive on Firefox the other does the same. and the changes don't save. I deleted them both from my computer as to go ahead and download the shockwave flash 16.0.0.235 back to my computer. I don't know how to take them off of the Firefox area of plugins. After you share with me in detail on that. Where can I find the download for just the shockwave flash 16.0.0.235 to upload it so it doesn't tie into the old one once it's gone. Thank you so very much. Tracy

Myself as a technician and designer was able to learn a great deal of information trying to solve this issue. From a Business owner stand point in which we work from home and run our three business from here; I was very disappointed in the days and hours spent with various other technicians in trying to solve the issue. I'm disappointed in the adobe update and how it doesn't interact well with Firefox. Thank you so very much for your time and help in regards to this matter. Everything seems to be working properly now.

Warm Regards, Tracy
