Firefox crashes without opening since I installed the latest Norton antivirus in windows XP

I have three computers running XP and the latest version of Norton anti=viral.. Two are running fine. On the third, firefox crashes every time I try to use it since I downloaded the latest Norton Security Street. Norton will not remain open either. If I open in safe mode with networking, I can access internet with firefox.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode disable the Norton add-ons. Then restart.
