green flash download indicator

Hi Friends, After some recent automatice update, I started seeing a green arrow that flashes from the toolbar, whenever I download something. I'd like to get rid of that, if possible, and go back to the previous behavior, which was not obnixious.

I've tried right-clicking on the toolbar, then Customize Toolbar. But the download arrow which flashes green isn't in the list. So I don't know what else to try.

Would someone please tell me how to get rid of the flash?

Oh yes! I followed the instructions there, and it does seem to have stopped the green flash.
