whenever i try and open google a "smarturl.it" page comes up, other sites are fine

whenever i try and use my home page, google, a page with a "smarturl.it" comes up. The address is www.google.com, but this of course is not google. I tried safari, and it did the same thing, but now is working, however even after re-starting i have this problem in firefox.

lazymcroft, that's pretty odd. can you tell me if its a specific smartURL.

We built URL smarter, smartURL.it, and I want to make sure that its not causing you any problems.

I had to restart my computer, and then it went away. But it affected no other sites. I cannot remember, which one, but it said "try smarturl.it," and then wanted me to click on a facebook link. this looked a bit fishy so i did not do it.
