Are calendars supported over Graph API? Contradicting (?) information in wiki and release notes

Iyán

Hello,

As far as I know, support for the Graph API only includes support for emails. This was clearly explained in the release notes of the first release that included support for this new API. It is also explained in the wiki (https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Microsoft_Graph_API):

"The Graph implementation should support all of the same operations as EWS. Thunderbird Exchange supported features. Calendar is not yet supported."

However, in the latest release notes the two new features are very confusing:

"Linux tray icons indicate unread mail and show its count in the tooltip"

How? I still don't get a tray icon, how would I see the email counter? Are you sure this is for linux and not for windows only? The new tray icon from 154.0 was only for Windows, despite many blog posts wrongly saying this was available in Linux. This is clearly explained here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/close-tray-starting-154

"Graph calendars are auto-detected on new account creation"

How? So are calendars supported over Graph? If so, they can only be added when adding a new account? What about previously set up accounts using Graph? This bullet point is so confusing when everywhere else (support articles, wiki linked above, etc.) all clearly say that Graph support does not include yet calendar support.

Yes, it appears that the release notes are misleading. I'm hoping for an answer too.

In the meantime it looks like both items in "New" in the release notes were removed... mmm... that's really not good. Release notes should be immutable. If you did a mistake, just cross them out. People use those notes to write other files like changelogs for package managers, etc.
