Some weeks ago following I believe a windows 11 update, Thunderbird, when clicking on following bootup, hung with the message "not responding." I have not yet found a permanent solution. Can you help?

Following a windows 11 update some weeks ago on my Windows 11 Dell XPS 15 laptop, Thunderbird failed to connect to the internet. I have tried various "fixes" using Google AI but none has provided a permanent solution. I can sometimes get it to run by repeat clicking or by restarting but this only works on a hit or miss basis so can you help find a permanent solution?
