My Firefox browsing history appears to be missing. Can you please help me find it?

Hi Jim, you probably used the Library window to check but, just in case, you can call that up by pressing Ctrl+Shift+H or using "Manage History" at the bottom of the history menu. This should indicate whether there is any history available for older dates. If not, there are a few different possibilities, including: (1) History got cleared. (2) Firefox started up in a new profile or a different profile that you usually use. There would be a lot of difference in this case (bookmarks missing, saved logins missing, etc.). (3) You have been browsing in a private window recently. Firefox doesn't save the history from private windows. I'm not sure which of those is your situation, or something else? Anyway, Mozilla doesn't store your history. You can use Sync to share some history between different installations of Firefox, but otherwise, it's just local storage.
