Lack of help or real support
As I write I am seriously considering walking away from using Firefox and advising all my friends to not use it.
Every time a programme does a update on my desktop, which is several times a week, it crashes Firefox and I get endless messages all day to keep rebooting Firefox.
It is getting extremely aggravating, frustrating and making me very annoyed.
This is supposed to be a modern browser with no big issues, supposedly easier to use than others? not on my desktop it is not and has not been for several months.

Sorry to hear you weren't able to get any help before, Ĺynn. If you have any previous support threads or bug reports to refer to please do link them for context and I'll check for any updates.
This sounds like an external application(s) when being updated crash the Firefox process. Is that some specific app you have in mind, or this happens consistently with any app update? (Do these apps update via their own functionality, or you use Windows Store to handle that for you?)
When you mention "endless messages all day to keep rebooting Firefox" — where do these messages come from? In case you imply that's a message from Firerfox: do you use multiple profiles running at once perhaps? Or do you feel that's a buggy browser update dialog that doesn't go away? (You shouldn't have any updates pending as you apparently run the latest version.)
Anyways, crashes get captured, and submitted, so it's easy to look for their IDs and check a few of them what's being logged:
- Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A list of Submitted (and Unsubmitted, if any) Crash Reports will appear, similar to the one shown below.
- Copy the 5 most recent Submitted Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.
Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.
(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)
Thank you!
The longer read for that functionality and debugging is in Troubleshoot Firefox crashes (closing or quitting unexpectedly) but let's see the submitted logs first, if there's a pattern or an apparent culprit.
That definitely sounds frustrating. If the crashes only happen when other programs update, there may be a conflict with a specific application or security software rather than Firefox itself. The crash IDs mentioned above should help identify the exact cause, so posting a few recent ones would be the best next step.
