Extensions Reinstalled when Signing-In

While I have a Mozilla account, I typically am not signed-in when I use Firefox. I have noticed that when I do sign-in, extensions that I have removed while not signed-in are automatically reinstalled and stay installed when I sign out. Apparently the extensions were installed prior to signing-in sometime in the past; removing the extensions while signed-in seems to remove them for good. As good an idea as this may seem (?), I need this to stop. Any ideas? I am not intentionally backing-up or syncing anything.

Oops, sync was on by default--disconnected, problem solved, I guess....

Hi,

Sync was exactly what I thought about. You don't necessarily have to disable it completely, it should be enough to uncheck Add-ons in Manage sync...
