all of my tab groups are gone. can i get them back?

when i booted up my laptop this morning i notice all of my tab groups were gone. i know how to get to where the tab groups are held, but when i click on the down arrow thing none of my saved tab groups appear. is there any way i can get them back? i used them for art references so theyre pretty important to me
