I have 4 emails in Thunderbird, one of those I also have on my phone, it is receiving mail, on my desktop, two of the emails have no email today, and two I have only one email, all should have 10 to 20 or more emails. I do have the emails on the website, but they are not loading onto Thunderbird. I get this message, "The certificate for imap.knology.net is not valid for the server. Someone could be trying to impersonate the server and you should not continue.

 Can you offer any help?

After trying many changes suggested by my ISP, I started getting a message to enter my password. I finally found that my password is the same as that used to log into my web mail. So, All is fixed now. Problem Solved

You sound like another person who has an antivirus preventing mail downloads.

Click the relevant button in the error to view the certificate that is causing the error. I would put money on it being offered up by your antivirus. If you implicitly trust your antivirus vendor, then create an exception so they can read all your encrypted communications. If you do not cease antivirus scanning of email and email ports.

The relevant button says, imap.knology.net:143. It has been this way as long as I can remember.
