It's 7 months since the last thread about failed downloads and there was no solution found then. Is anyone still experiencing failed downloads (from yahoo, aol mail servers especially)? Answer - I am! I have to keep using Chrome (which I don't like, it's slow) and I have all my bookmarks in Firefox and it's a quick browser. Please Mr Mozilla, fix this issue! As posted back in 2021, the feature suddenly stopped with the update at that time (around 102 or earlier). Now we're on 106.0.5 and still not downloading.

You have to post a screenshot of the download error for others to be able to replicate the issue if they have those email server to download and what is being downloaded.

Ok thanks, just worked out how to extract the relevant pane from the complete desktop (containing confidential info) but I'm not sure if it will help - Oh but now it won't paste here. Please tell me how to do what you asked for

Screenshot is just an attachement to your posting. If you have some kinda editor program you can block out private info so others can just see what the error part is happening. Also what kinda attachements are those that your downloading?

In what way do downloads fail ? Are they incomplete (do not finish properly) or do they fail completely (do not start) ?

Do you get an error message ?

What security software do you have?

It is possible that (anti-virus) security software is causing the problem. Try to disable security software temporarily to see if that makes a difference.

Hello, thank you both for your responses. Please realise that I'm not a computer expert at all but I have manged to add in a screenshot as requested. I hope you can read it. It just shows the list of failed downloads. I don't have any more information about the errors. It applies to all file types and in the list there are .csv, .jpg, .pdf, and .docx. There is also the setup.exe for a download program that I saw suggested in the forum which was a possible solution. That also failed to download! Until this is resolved, as I said before, I have to open Chrome and download attachments there - my AVG antivirus doesn't cause a problem in that program. If it helps, I use windows 7 and my emails are on AOL. This didn't used to be a problem and all that's changed is Firefox version. Many thanks to you, Ian

No further help has been forthcoming so can I conclude that nobody knows how to resolve this problem?
