Homepage file not found
After updating to Firefox 63.0, I get the following error when launching the browser or clicking home button:
File not found Firefox can’t find the file at jar:file:///C:/Program Files (x86)/Mozilla Firefox/browser/omni.ja!/chrome/en-US/locale/branding/browserconfig.properties. Check the file name for capitalization or other typing errors. Check to see if the file was moved, renamed or deleted.
When I open a new tab, it goes to the home page no problem (both homepage & new windows and new tabs are set to the default Firefox home). I have tried resetting my homepages and have gone into about:config to reset browser.startup.homepage.
Neither the file location listed above nor the one listed as the value for browser.startup.homepage (chrome://branding/locale/browserconfig.properties) exist in my file directory. I also tried adding these folders and copying the browserconfig.properties file to those locations.
Any helps? Thanks in advance!

hi, are you low on disk space? any help when you just download and reinstall firefox from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/?
Reinstalling might work but I'd rather not have to reconfigure everything. Any other suggestions?
I'm not sure if others are experiencing the problem but it would be nice to let Mozilla know of any problems with their upgrade processes.
reinstalling like i've recommended above doesn't lose your user data and make you reconfigure everything, but it might make sure that any corrupt files in the installation directory get replaced with proper ones.
i'm not aware of any other reports like this after an update so i'm assuming it's not a general problem...
Note that this is a problem with one of the omni.ja ZIP archive files that store additional files, in this case \browser\omni.ja.
What Firefox locale (user interface language) are you using in case this makes a difference?
You can find the full version of the current Firefox release (63.0) in all languages and all operating systems here:

Make sure to check if the Firefox installation folder is gone after uninstalling and if necessary then delete the Firefox program folder to remove any leftover files.
- (64-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (32-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
