Only every second or third sent mail is being copied to my sent items folder. So I cannot find a record anywhere (even in search) of some of my sent mails.

When sending mails, I get no notification of not copying to sent folder, yet when I want to find a particular sent item, I can no longer find it in sent items or search, even though the mail I sent before it is there. I have cc'd my colleague in on these mails to make sure I have actually sent them so it is not that I think I have sent it but haven't.
