I cannot send out emails, including my gmail and school email (University of Minnesota, which is also operating through gmail). When trying to send out an email, it shows that "Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing Outgoing server (SMTP) connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again."

I have IT person checked my UofM email and it was fine. I can send out email with both account through gmail server, BUT not through thunderbird.

I use macbook pro, with Sierra.
