For long time i wondered why my bookmarks was not syncronized to my new extra computer. Typically I see that some bookmarks died. The logo disappeared, and after a while the bookmark could dissappear.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.
