I haven't found a sort on name option in bookmarks yet. But you can move the order of your bookmarks by hand. So i simply drag the folders up in the list to the position where i want to have it inside my bookmarks. You can right click inside the row and create a deviding line or create a folder to move your links in organized folders. And then you can move your folder wherever you want in your bookmarks. Only thing you can't do is copy a bookmark folder and paste it on your desktop, to save it.

See this support article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/sort-bookmarks-quickly-find-ones-you-want

  • "sort" is done at the folder level only, up to a Separator line if you have added any of them
  • folders first, followed by individual bookmarks
  • the "sort" don't extend into the folders, unless that has been changed recently - if you have a multiple level folder structure the sort may need to be done in each folder and at each level, iirc -- I only go 2 levels deep when setting up folders, so YMMV when going deeper

And see this last paragraph: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/sort-bookmarks-quickly-find-ones-you-want#w_sorted-views-in-the-library-window The sort order (using Views at the top) in the Library window is for viewing purposes only, and will not be reflected in the Bookmarks sidebar, menu or button. That is a temporary "sort" "view" that only lasts for as long as the Library windows is open.
