I am running Firefox Portable from a USB device. The USB device will be in the hands of users who have no computer knowledge and the USB device needs to be 100% stable, as the browser does its basic job I therefore I do not want any updates at all. I also do not want users to know that Firefox Portable is being used as the browser.

Hello mpwa, sorry but it is not a firefox portable forum. But I'll give it a try, go to FirefoxPortable path and then open the Other folder, now open the Source folder, open with notepad the FirefoxPortable Configuration Settings file (it is an ini file) and now, carefully, change the DisableSplashScreen=false to true, make it DisableSplashScreen=true accept the changes when you asked for that, close the file, and now open firefox portable.

I know that i'm breaking the rules here, since it is not the firefox portable forum..... :(

thank you

If you were talking about standard Firefox then as long as you are using this within your own organisation there will probably be no problems.

Otherwise you may need to check the copyright and trademark conditions.

Note you are not normally allowed to distribute the Firefox executable, or must meet additional conditions.
