Why can't I paste into youtube comments on firefox
I don't know when this happened, but today I noticed that I cannot paste text into youtube comments on firefox. It still works just fine on Chrome. I tried to use an addon to copy plain text only, but that didn't help, nor have I ever needed it before.
Is this google's latest monopoly trick or something, or what is going on?
Chosen solution
"I have a fix. go to your address bar and type "about:config" no quotes, and then hit the "i'll be careful, I promise" button, next type "dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled" then double click it, so the value is false. And that should do the trick." - pcdude234 (tomshardware)
Worked :P

Warning!
Setting the preference dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled to false in the Firefox Configuration Editor (about:config page) can cause problems pasting on other sites, such as strange glitches with the Facebook comment box or frustrating silent failures.

false - it's not a solution, because you will face with text pasting problems, on Facebook fields (comments, posts, copy + pasting) there is solution https://support.mozilla.org/ru/questions/1080597?page=3#answer-822655
This method does not cause problems with Facebook. And YouTube is also working correctly.
You what would be nice? When someone gives a person an address like this (about:config), you type or Copy and Paste it in the address bar, and it shows Everything EXCEPT what you wanted.
Hi kingof..., there is a search bar at the top of the preferences list that you can use to filter it to the preference you're looking for. That would save you a lot of scrolling. In this case, I suggest typing or pasting clip to get the target preference on the first screen.
However, I don't suggest changing the clipboard preference because this will break pasting into some other sites that use scripts to intercept and modify what you paste. Instead, I suggest using the userscript solution:
(1) Install the Greasemonkey extension (this executes the user scripts you install or write): https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/
(2) Install this script to strip the YouTube paste interception script: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/12433-fix-paste-on-youtube
