Is it possible to disable the "Dismiss All" button in the lower-right side of the Calendar Reminders window? I must have inadvertently clicked on that and my list of current (un-dismissed) reminders has completely disappeared. I am more of a line-by-line dismisser of reminders. If I accidentally dismiss one line, at least I can quickly write down what it was while it's fresh in my mind. Not so easy when my list of 10 or 15 reminders is gone in one single click.

Or, if the button can't be disabled, can the developers add an "Are you sure?" prompt to the "Dismiss All" sequence?

(I realize all those reminders can still be found by looking around in the main Calendar window, but that takes a lot of time to find the ones that should not yet be dismissed.)

I sent a message with 2 large attachments, which came to about 700kb. I have my email account configured to move replies to the original message folder after sending. The sent message appears blank in the folder. View source reveals little but starts with the following: X-Mozilla-Status: 0001 X-Mozilla-Status2: 00000000 IesvbLYCv+2WRXVrCMCm89IOemygPZpNbz2NBY [and so on for 433 lines of 73 bytes], < 32kb.

When I use my online webmail interface, the message that Thunderbird can no longer read is intact, legible and contains both the large attachments. The same is true when viewed in another email client. I have restored the message by exporting it from the webmail and importing it back to Thunderbird (to keep my records intact), which Thunderbird handles okay.

The outgoing mail server log shows that the message received from Thunderbird and sent to the final recipient was the correct 700kb+ size.

I'm rather curious as to what went on there.

Attachments to post: 1. View of the corrupt message in the Trash folder 2. Intact message after importing as an export from webmail.

Before switching to Thunderbird, I used a VBA script in Outlook to redirect/resend emails if the recipient hadn't replied by a set time and date. The VBA script and instructions can be found here. Is there a Thunderbird add-on that can achieve similar results?

Will you please add Local Folders to Android Thunderbird? I use desktop Thunderbird mainly to import mbox files into Gmail (which happily exports them by Takeout) so without Local Folders the Android app is useless for me.

I've had the same email for 25+ years and for at least the last 5 have been unable to send. Never been any problem receiving, only sending. I have to open a browser and go to cs.com or aol.com and log in if I need to send mail. ISP is wowway. I'm unaware of any firewall, and I use Ubuntu 20.04 so there is no anti-virus. I think when the problem first surfaced I was using Ubuntu 14.04 on my old system. I have a newer computer and have upgraded several times to get to 20.04 but the problem with sending has always been there. I would appreciate any help I can get.

I'm experiencing the following issue and am having trouble resolving it.

・Normally, automatic reply emails should be received when there are inquiries from the website, but they are not displayed in Thunderbird. ・When I check the webmail on the mail server, I can see the emails, so they are definitely being delivered to the server. ・Occasionally, there have been delivery failures in the past, but since March 19th, not a single email has been received. ・As shown in the attached image, when I open Thunderbird, it displays "Downloading messages," and even when it reaches 60/60 downloads completed, the 60 emails are not displayed.

I suspect that the spam filter might be reacting, but I'm unsure of what to do. Could you please advise me?

Hi, I have office 2024 on a MacBook Air. When I try to share a document as an email attachment, word just “pings” and doesn’t work. Thunderbird is set as my default email reader.

If I change my email reader to apple mail, it works ok, however, I want Thunderbird for mail. I haven’t tried outlook, as I haven’t set up any email accounts in outlook, therefore pointless test.

Any thoughts ?

I've tried the troubleshooting steps outlined in the FAQ but have not been able to send any email messages. This just started a few days ago and I've tried these things with no luck:

• Disable firewall
• Disable anti-virus
• Change SMTP settings
• Change email account PW

Windows 11 Norton 360 NordVPN

I don't know if this has any bearing on the issue, but at the same time as I began having trouble sending email, I attempted to install the UPS label printer software. It also looks like there was an update to my AV/Firewall software, but since I have disabled both, as well as disabling the VPN, and there's still no success, I'm ruling those out for now.

NOTE: I have no trouble sending or receiving email with my phone, so I tend to thinnk it's not the account settings. I've tried using the phone as a hotspot to send from my PC but that also was not successful.

T-bird email account hatched. Changed PSWRD on Comcast. New Pswrd works at T-bird signon, but must use OLD on any outbound (send) emails. Also, can no longer backup the email.

Any ideas / suggestions?

I'm looking for an email solution for my husband and Thunderbird looks promising. However I'd really appreciate input from this community regarding our specific scenario before I make a move. I have a programming background but I fumble blindly trying to be his email admin.

The problem we are trying to solve is his current email setup chokes on send/receive almost daily, after which he has to use Task Manager to kill a hanging Outlook.exe process. After years of tinkering I'm about to give up on Outlook completely. I think the main issue is how Outlook interacts with his Archive. His Archive.pst file is 4GB and Outlook saves it as one big file even though it has many subfolders which are essentially his filing system. Outlook is configured to save everything directly to a local laptop which is backed up regularly and we want to retain this local feature. Thunderbird is attractive because: 1. it supports the local drive storage 2. it appears to have options for transferring his Outlook archive and other folders over in such a way that he can continue to search and access them as needed. He would also like to be able to: 1. move new emails received in Thunderbird into the same (transferred) archive subfolders he has now 2. send and receive new emails without the program choking 3. view and send new emails from his Android phone (without accessing the archive) 4. transfer his email contacts from Outlook and manage them in Thunderbird Can anyone see red flags with this in Thunderbird? He does NOT use:

- Outlook Calendar (we synch our phone calendars to Google calendar online)
- Outlook Tasks

Technical Details (in case it matters):

- HP Pavilion 2021 laptop running Windows 10 with 1TB storage (200+ GB free) and 16GB RAM
- Likely to upgrade to a newer bigger laptop with Windows 11 this year
- Outlook is running from a Microsoft 365 subscription
- His actual email account is from gmail but is named per a domain name I purchased
- His Outlook account is setup using IMAP
- We use ESET for virus protection and NordVPN for WIFI security

Any comments or advice are greatly appreciated!

I am using a Mac (macOS Sequoia Version 15.3.2), and my email is POP, using Thunderbird Version 128.8.1esr. My emails keep disappearing from my inbox. I do not know if it disappears from the Server also. I just noticed that an email I was saving in in my inbox has disappeared. I assume it has been deleted, THUNDERBIRD must do better.

J'utilise Thunderbird pour gérer plusieurs adresses email d'origines différentes, dont Gmail, tout fonctionne.

Récemment, j'ai ajouté une autre adresse Gmail, tout allait pendant quelques jours puis Thunderbird m'affiche le message du type "Impossible de se connecter au serveur IMAP. Erreur de compte, adresses, serveur ou mot de passe".

Quelques informations complémentaires : - je peux accéder à la messagerie en webmail - j'ai créé 2 dossiers dans Gmail pour organiser un peu les messages - j'ai supprimé et recréé le compte dans Thunderbird mais ça ne fonctionne toujours pas.

Par avance merci beaucoup si vous avez des pistes à me proposer !

I am able to use quick search on all of my folders EXCEPT the Sent folder and it's sub folders.

Example: When in the Inbox, I type part of someone's email and I see all the emails with that as part of the email address. BUT, when I do this for the SENT folder and any of the sub folders and nothing comes up. Even folks that I email several times a day it does not find them

When I put Thunderbird into Troubleshoot mode, the quick search works.

Another issue is when doing a global search for all folders, I will see something in sent, but when I click on it, Thunderbird does not find the email. This happens with the SENT folder only.

I have tried a few solutions, including rebuilding the Global Database and making sure this folder is part of that.

what am I missing?
