I downloaded Firefox not too long ago to combat the fact the Microsoft Edge wasn't working correctly, but ever since I downloaded Firefox it's been making my computer run really slow on the browser. Things are often slow like scrolling up on and down pages websites like Pinterest, and the text when typing on Google docs takes a moment to show up after I've typed it and not instantly, for example.

I checked my computer's task manager because I recently cleaned the laptop, thinking that something else was causing it to be slow, but it isn't. I don't have many processes open on the computer mainly mandatory things and my browser, since I use my laptop mainly for school work, music, or writing. Firefox opens multiple processes, the highest being 21 at one time, and takes up most of the memory on the laptop. Is this normal? Because it takes 1,094.0 MB and keeps my laptop's memory at 90-91%. If it isn't normal, how can I reduce this as well as the lag on my laptop when Firefox is open?

As a user in China, since the domestic version of Firefox was discontinued, I switched to the international version. However, I’ve encountered a frustrating issue regarding how history entries open: When I click on a history entry in the **right-side history sidebar**, it **overwrites my current tab** by default. To open it in a new tab, I have to manually press the *Ctrl* key while clicking — which breaks my long-standing browsing habit. Previously, in the version I used (the domestic variant), a simple click on a history entry always opened it in a new tab. Strangely, the **left-side history panel** (if applicable) also opens history entries in new tabs without overwriting. This inconsistent behavior between the sidebar and other interfaces is confusing. I understand some users might prefer overwriting the current tab, but flexibility is key. Could Mozilla add a **configurable setting** (e.g., in *about:config* or the preferences menu) to let users choose: - Option 1: Overwrite the current tab when clicking history entries. - Option 2: Open history entries in a new tab by default. This would respect diverse user habits and resolve the mismatch between the sidebar and other history interfaces. Hello: I am trying my hardest to figure out how to move my existing Firefox profile folder (with bookmarks, passwords, etc.) to a new system. I have tried repeatedly to take the contents of the existing profile, and past them into the default profile on the new system. None of the information shows up.

The existing profile is version 115.25.0, running on a Windows 7 Pro platform.

The system I'm trying to move the profile to is a Windows 10 Pro 64 bit system. I installed the same version of Firefox on the target system.

All the files from the existing system seem to copy over to the new default profile folder fine, but no luck when Firefox is opened.

I also tried copying the entire profile folder over (leaving the folder name intact), and removing the default profile that was set up by Firefox. When I do that it just gives me a message saying it can't find the profile.

Don't know what else to do here. I have a lot of data in the old profile that I don't want to have to re-create.

I am trying to preserve my POCKET data before it all goes away. Mozilla responded to my email requesting data but when I opened the link I got this message that "the provided token has expired : despite it being less than 24 hours. Plus a lot of other characters meaningless to me. What can I do now?

I have just updated to 141.0 (64-bit) on Lenovo E571 laptop, running windows10 and got the following warning from windows security: Protected folder access blocked. As someone who uses windows, but no idea how it works really, why should this happen with Firefox update, and is it serious?

This has been happening for a long time now.

While using Google Sheets, the slightest movement of the mouse wheel, either up or down, takes you to last line of the sheet and then you can no longer move using the wheel.

It only happens with Firefox; it works normally in other browsers.

This is super annoying if you have to work with it all day.

In order to have the "Search Labs" tab to show I am unable to check the box for: "Install and run studies" even though the box for " Send technical and interaction data to Mozilla" is checked. Help please. Thank you Barrington Whitfield. (Barry)

I have set up an account in Mozilla Firefox browser and used to save data like user id and password in it.

My accounts get disconnected every time I restart my computer the next day. I have to again login, enter OTP on email and again have to sync the data

Previously, before 15 days, I was not facing such problem

For a week my pinned tabs are lost every time I open Firefox. I have checked my settings, they were the same as always. I have de-selected them, closed and re-opened firefox, selected them again, closed and re-opened again, pinned my tabs again. Then closed and re-opened firefox and still they are not there. I have done this multiple time with the same results. This seems to have started after the last update.

I am using firefox for a long time ans since few days no website is opening. It is not about the connection because other browsers and other devices are working . It is just turning and turning but never opens or refresh.

Any idea what could be?

128.13.0esr This is probably a huge long shot I know, because every forum etc on the internet has nothing that ever helps with this, but as it only happens in FF I thought it was worth a try.

Yesterday I changed my Privacy settings to 'delete cookies when FF is closed' and added a few exceptions. Then this Google Search reCaptcha thing started. Changed it back to what it was, basically the default setting there, but it was still happening. It only happens in FF [doesn't happen with Edge] and only on one pc, all other pc's and phones in the house are fine [all using the same network, router etc]. So I uninstalled FF altogether, reinstalled it...this thing was still happening regardless of what settings I use re cookies etc. If I actually complete the super annoying reCaptcha it goes away for about 1 or 2 searches, then comes back.

If I'm signed in to a Google account it doesn't happen.

I even did a fresh Windows install [which actually fixed this the other time this was happening about 6 months ago] but that didn't fix it this time. There is no malware, no VPN, no extensions that I haven't been using for years. Nothing that could ever possibly be considered 'bot-like' behaviour.

I have an extensive collection of saved files. Almost all are saved as pdfs, except a few word files. Recently Firefox has started to save them as html, which is incredibly irritating. How do I get Firefox to save them as pdf?

Recently, in the past month, when I open PiP to play videos (mainly Youtube) and open another tab play web game at the same time, the web game screen will be slightly stuck, and there is a high chance of triggering VIDEO TDR FAILURE.

I'm not sure if this problem is caused by PiP, but it only happens when I open PiP and a web game at the same time. It happens about 2-3 times a week, and I haven't updated my graphics card drivers recently.

I currently have NordPass as a Firefox Extension. After checking a box for "Stay Signed-in," I can no longer turn it off. Instead of any unauthorized person signing in with Firefox, I want to need my Master Password in order to sign in to websites. How do I stop this "Stay Signed-in."
