I sent an email and did not attach anything to it. After sending I went to the sent folder to edit the contact info as this was the first time I had sent the person anything and wanted add their name to the contact info. I then noticed that a file named part 1.2.2 had been attached. As I said before I did not attach anything so I have no idea where this attachment came from. Any ideas?

I am sure I typed an answer to this days ago.

open the attachment (In notepad) what does the attachment contain, what it contains will provide a clue as to it's source. They can come from those inane messages anti virus products stick on the end of messages says scanned by XXXX and found virus free. As a general rule they contain nothing to worry about and opening them in notepad is not risky..
