In the recent version (24.0) the signature line option is no longer respecting a carriage return at the end of a line. When entering more than one line for a signature, you cannot enter a return and start a second line.

While the editor accepts this the preview pane and the final result does not respect the return and the lines wrap together. This did not happen with earlier versions. Signatures created with earlier versions continue to operate okay. Only the effort to add a new signature line or edit an existing one is being impacted.

It appears the CR is not being entered or read.

Why do different emails come in at different magnifications? I get emails from a real estate agent that I have to do a control & + to zoom in on the email so I can read it normally. Why is there not a setting to have all emails at one "zoom" setting? It would be really helpful!! Especially for us older users. Also, when I add a folder to my email, why can't I add it to the list of folders already there by default? Right now I have to add the folder to the inbox and then drag it down to the other folders. When I do this they don't go alphabetically, they go to the bottom of the list. They should drop into alphabetical order. Thanks for your help.

I have been using Thunderbird for years. My current version is 158.0 (32-bit). In recent months Thunderbird has become increasingly weird and annoying. These problems have occurred individually, not all at once, and each persists--that is, they are all and always present.

1. T'bird's counts of messages in folders is always much higher than the actual counts. 2. I tag messages with color, but T'bird deletes the color tags within a day. 3. Clicking a message doesn't change the message from Unread to Read--that is, the title stays bold. I can change the read/unread indication by clicking the button, but the change doesn't happen automatically. 4. If I drag a message to my wife's T'bird inbox, the act removes the message from my T'bird inbox, but it doesn't always remove it from the inbox at the Server. 5. Deleting a message from my T'bird inbox often also deletes the message just above it. This is the oldest problem, and when it first occurred I found that if I closed and immediately reopened T'bird the message would reappear in my T'bird inbox. Now it does not, although the message might still be in my inbox at the Server. 6. While I am reading a message, the list of messages often pops up to the top (oldest) message. The message I was reading doesn't disappear or otherwise change, but I have to scroll back down to it and click it again in order to delete it or move it to another folder.

These problems are more than annoying. Can anybody help?

For years I had an pop account in my Thunderbird, next to my Imap account. Both live happily next to each other. Today I moved all the mails from my pop account (which was no long active, nor was it connected to a server) to my local folders. I found out that all of my folder were suddenly twice the size. Compressing didn't do a thing. Why is this?

In an answer to a previous question, I learned that Spectrum email has issues. I have since learned that Spectrum is slowly phasing their email out. So I'm guessing that change is necessary for me. If I create a free Outlook account on my W11 desktop, is using Thunderbird still an option? This whole email thing is confusing for me. Thanks for any help.

Quand je veut ajouter le compte (photo 1), il apparait ensuite sur firefox la photo 2.

Lorsque je clique sur continuer photo 3, je reçoit sur firefox le message photo 3 puis sur thunderbird la photo 4 mais le compte n'apparait pas dans la liste des comptes.

In einem meiner Postfächer sind alle Unterordner verschwunden unter TB. Auf dem Handy kann ich alles sehen, in anderen Postfächern auf dem PC stimmt alles.

Ich habe alle verfügbaren Tips probiert seit ca. 4h.

Im Verzeichnis von heute scheinen alle Daten vorhanden zu sein, siehe Bild. Die Dateien und Ordner von gestern sind aber grösser, siehe 2. Bild. Im Postfach auf TB sind sie aber gar nicht zu sehen.

Was tun?

One of my email accounts will not load. I've tried reconstructing my profile which succeeds about every third try but for no apparent reason the files and all the folders vanish. Started happening a few days ago. Please respond to [redacted from public] @gmail.com because I me or may not be able to read my normal account. Thank you.

my inbox folder and all folders below it has dropped down about 7 folders from right below my email address. how to get it back up to where it has been for years? thanks, [redacted phone# from community support forum]

I've signed up for the Thundermail.com beta account. I want to know how add a new email address to that account. Not an email address from another provider, one of the up to 15 separate addresses that the offer supposedly includes. I realize they will all deliver to the one Inbox, but I'm trying to dump multiple old gmail accounts and convert to Thundermail wihtout losing the other "aliases". THANKS!

can not get my email account a us.exg7.exghost.com set up inTthunderbird. acts like it set up the outgoing server but not the domain or in comming server.

I have been using my phone a lot and so I've been getting my email on it. In the meantime however the items have been saved on the server. My computer hard drive crashed and when I have installed Thunderbird I find I have 26 thousand emails!! I would like to delete big hunks of it but how to go about it? Thanks.

Lately I have noticed that when I delete an email it Is not going into my trash folder. I am using version 159.0 (64-bit). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated also I am using an IMAP server

Thunderbird will display older email, but will not retrieve new email. It puts up a message "downloading message 1 of 140". That second number continues to grow. It was 76, then 138, now 140. I cannot retrieve new email. That email address is [redacted] @att.net.

Storage always full with only 100 or so e mails in my in box No junk or spam or anything else No one else in the company has this problem but me and my storage is getting smaller and smaller . I do more e mails then anyone but am always full with less than 200 e mails
