Can't delete one folder from bookmarks toolbar (Firefox in Win8)

more options

I have the bookmarks toolbar visible with several individual bookmarks and several folders w/bookmarks. There is ONE folder that I cannot delete, and when I try to add new bookmarks to it they do not show up inside the folder. All other bookmarks and folders can be deleted but not this one folder. I right-click and "delete", nothing happens. Open the bookmarks library, right-click on this one folder, delete... nothing. I can't even delete the individual bookmarks from inside this folder. I also tried resetting firefox, it did not fix the problem. I'm stumped.

      • Edit - For two weeks now I'd try at times to delete this folder then give up when it didn't work, but ten minutes after posting this question I messed around with it again and was able to delete. Didn't do anything I hadn't done 20 times before. Murphy's law I guess.
