Hello,

Lately I can't login to YouTube, because when I try to I get the error "There was an issue while logging you in to YouTube", but I'm able to login to google.com I've tried everything I could think of (except de-installing FF or something like that). Could you guys help me?

Thanks in advance!

I'm been so frustrated dealing with this issue lately too!!! I cleared all my cookies/cache, etc., as Mozilla suggests, and got on once, but after I rebooted, the issue started again. I FINALLY got access again by going to the "Accept/Block Cookies" section of Firefox "Options" and checked all my exceptions. I noticed that there was a site for Google that was Allowed named "accounts.google.com" so I just added a new Exception named "accounts.youtube.com" and viola - it worked!! So....we'll see if this solves the issue AFTER I reboot again. But for now, I had no problems instantly signing into YouTube. Good luck; hope this helps! Ü

This can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked (check the permissions on the about:permissions page).

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

Sorry for my very, very late answer. I've had a LOT to do lately and this has been at the bottom of my list. I tried all you said, but sadly it didn't work.

Can you login if you switch to a Private Browsing mode window?
