I've been fighting Firefox for the last 6 weeks or so, trying to get it to play YT videos. First, it wouldn't play them at all, until I disabled Realplayer. Then, it played fine for almost 2 weeks, but then it stopped playing sound. All the videos are muted on YouTube, and I cannot unmute them. Other browsers have no problem playing YT videos, and FF can play videos from other sites.

I've gone through all the troubleshooting steps I can find. I've scoured my computer to remove every vestige of Adobe Flash and Adobe Air, then re-installed. I deleted my FF cookies and cache. I still don't have sound in YT.

I'm using Firefox 14.0.1 on Windows 7 (64) with 8 GB RAM.

That didn't work. I deleted all websites, but I still cannot play YT sound.

You can check for problems caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and possibly downgrade to Flash 11.2 or 10.3.

Odd; I just clicked on a YT link my Dad sent me in email. Sound is working. I don't know why it is working now; I didn't do anything.
