When hovering over a link in FF 10.0 you get a very anoying popup in the left corner of the browser, I want to disable this "feature". I DONT want to move the displaying of the link to any kind of statusbar I want it gone completely.

Chosen solution

Add code to userChrome.css below the default @namespace line.

The customization files userChrome.css (interface) and userContent.css (websites) are located in the chrome folder in the user profile folder.

@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

#statusbar-display { display:none!important; }
