I accidentally uninstalled the audio program that came with the computer many years ago. Now I have no sound at all on the computer and can't get it back without a CD apparently - but I have none.

VLC is a great, Free, player -> http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

But changes are if you have no sound, you did more than uninstall a player, you uninstalled the driver....
