Bad sound and video quality

Just today I;m having trouble with audio quality on youtube and other video sites (and stuttery video on a NBC clip) . It's crackly and comes in and out, almost like a blown speaker or a slow connection. Sound works fine on same videos on Safari.

upgrade your browser to Firefox 8 and check

I did upgrade a few nights ago. It had been working but now it's back to doing the same again. Videos working in Safari not in Firefox
