I cannot upgrade from Firefox 3 to Firefox 6.

Using my Firefox 3.0.13, I tried to upgrade to Firefox 6. I click download, opens set up exe, choose "save file". Download does not happen so I click link as directed. It just sends me another "open set up exe. box, an endless circle. I am using Windows Vista.

I changed the default location for downloads and it now works.
