I can't download games. A message comes up saying there is a fake id # for my Internet Download Manger. How do I find the serial number and get IDM?

When I try to open a game from the internet a message comes up stating I am not connected to the IDM. When I close that message another message comes up asking for my name, email address and a serial number.
