I can not open a new tab on the same window. ( mac OS X 10.6.7 ) Is there anything that i can do to fix this issue?

I have a main window open, when I opened a second smaller window with a link from the main window, and then when I tried to open a new tab from a link from the smaller window, it will redirect the new tab to the main window.

How can I open a new tab from the smaller window and have the new tap show up on the smaller window instead of the main window ? ( mac OS X 10.6.7 )

Ops, I forgot to mention that i am using FF version 5.0 and tried FF Aurora(same issue) Thanks
