Firefox 2.0.0.20 is the last ever version of Firefox for Win98 / SE / ME.
Get it from here:
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/2.0.0.20/win32/en-US/

You'll probably find that websites which block IE 6 also block Firefox 2.0.0.20.

I am currently using Windows ME on this Dell Inspiron 8000/1 GHz/256 MB RAM. Your best solution to get a more modern browser, one that is for XP, is either Firefox 3.6.19, or Opera 11.5. This is done by downloading a free program, KernelEX-4.5.1 that allows some XP programs to run in 98SE or ME. After you install this you can download the setup for Opera 11.5, or Mozilla 3.6.19, right click and set-up for the KernelEX-4.5.1 to run as Windows XP. On the Opera you use no child, on Firefox just the XP setting will do. Explorer 6, Mozilla 2.0, Mozilla 3.6.19 w/ Kernel, Opera 10.5, Opera 11.5 w/ Kernel, and even Netscape 9 all seem to run fairly well to me.

This isn't as techy as it sounds, anybody can do this without a problem.
