Where are passwords stored on my hard drive/ folder, can I access them and alter them. Can I add passwords to that file/ folder.
Chosen solution
The passwords are stored in signons.sqlite in the profile folder. They will be encrypted so can not be edited. You can use the Saved Password Editor add-on to create and edit entries in the password manager.

Hello TonyE.
Thanks for the quick reply. I did what you suggested, downloading the add-on, and it worked fantastic. It is a great piece of software. You have been a great help and I thank you profusely.
All the best for the festive season and hope you get your wishes from Santa :)
Kind regards: Geoff
Using the Saved Password Editor may be overkill for most users. The quickest way to manipulate saved passwords in Firefox is on the menu bar go to:
Tools -> Options -> Security -> Saved Passwords -> Show Passwords
