The downloaded article is probably in the downloads folder in "My Documents."

If you wish to save them somewhere else go to Tools|Options|General and change the settings in the "Downloads" area.

You'll notice that there is a "radio" button which will have FF ask you every time "Where would you like to save this file?" You will be able to browse to anywhere in your PC to save.
